Michigan HB5956 eliminates the requirement to register and report deer pelts.

Michigan HB5956 amends sections 42504 and 42505 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to eliminate the requirement for individuals to report the number of deer pelts in their possession at the end of the open season or to report deer pelts purchased or sold during the month. This change applies to all individuals holding a license under this part.
