Michigan HB5935 amends the building permit process by requiring the Department of Construction to notify applicants of the basis for denials and to inform applicants if their application is incomplete. If the department denies an application, it must provide a citation to the relevant laws or ordinances. For incomplete applications, the department must notify the applicant within seven days or make the necessary information electronically available.
