Establishes procedures for modifying building permits after issuance in Michigan.
The bill amends the Michigan building code to add a section allowing the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to modify building permits after issuance. If a permit holder requests changes, the department may require additional changes, but these must not introduce new requirements unrelated to the requested changes. The department must notify the permit holder of any requested changes within 10 days of receiving the request, and cannot require further changes after this period. This amendment does not restart the application process.
