Establishes an artificial intelligence pilot program for state departments and agencies in Michigan.

The bill creates an artificial intelligence pilot program for state departments and agencies in Michigan. It establishes an artificial intelligence governing board within the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget. The board will provide recommendations to the department on the pilot program. The pilot program aims to enable the use of generative artificial intelligence by state employees, agencies, or departments. It must begin by January 1, 2027, and continue until the department determines the purposes of the act have been fulfilled.
