Requires testing for PFAS in sewage sludge used for land application in Michigan.

This bill amends the Michigan Environmental Protection Act to mandate testing for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in sewage sludge or sewage sludge derivatives used for land application. It requires individuals or entities preparing biosolids to test for PFAS using a method approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The bill also mandates that the results of these tests be reported to the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy.
