Michigan HB5884 amends the medical assistance program to automatically enroll and renew certain individuals using express lane eligibility procedures. This includes minors and adults under 21 years of age. The Department of Health and Human Services may use data from the supplemental nutrition assistance program or the temporary assistance for needy family program to determine eligibility. The department may also seek federal waivers to expand the use of express lane eligibility to additional populations, including adults.
