Allows communication between domestic credit unions and qualified private insurance organizations.
This bill amends the Michigan Credit Union Act to allow certain communication between a domestic credit union and a qualified private insurance organization. The director of the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services may examine a domestic credit union's condition and affairs, including its affiliates, at least once every 18 months. The director can also contract with another state's credit union regulatory agency to assist in examinations.
