Expands penalties for vehicle offenses in work zones and school bus zones.

This bill amends Michigan's vehicle code to expand penalties for vehicle offenses in work zones and school bus zones. It defines "emergency scene" and "moving violation" and increases fines for causing injury or death in these areas. A misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 or imprisonment for up to one year, or both. A felony is punishable by a fine of up to $7,500 or imprisonment for up to 15 years, or both. The bill also doubles the fine for moving violations in work zones, school bus zones, or school zones.
