Michigan HB5682 amends the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to allow the Department of Natural Resources to contract with a sportsmen's organization for an annual auction of up to 5 Pure Michigan hunt licenses. These licenses include elk, bear, spring and fall turkey, antlerless deer hunting, and the first pick at a managed waterfowl hunt area. Any individual can bid on these licenses. The sportsmen's organization can retain 7.5% of the auction proceeds, with the remainder deposited into the game and fish protection account.
