HB5565 amends the Deferred Presentment Service Transactions Act to exempt certain earned wage access services from licensing requirements. The bill specifies that the exemption applies to businesses licensed under the Earned Wage Access Services Act. It also mandates that the commissioner establish an application process and timeline for license applications by January 1, 2006. Businesses can continue to operate without a license until they fail to meet the application deadline or the commissioner acts on their complete application. The amendment will not take effect unless House Bill No.
