Insurers must notify applicants of receipt of their applications within 7 days, and applicants must submit completed applications within 30 days. Insurers must complete the credentialing process within 60 days of receiving the application. If an applicant becomes credentialed and a contract is in effect, the insurer must reimburse the provider for covered services from the date the insurer received the completed application.
