Michigan HB5467 amends the Michigan election law to provide procedures for replacing candidates who die, withdraw, or become disqualified more than 55 days before an election. The bill specifies that replacement candidates can be selected by county committees or county executive committees, depending on the office. The name of the replacement candidate must be printed on the ballots at least 55 days before the election. If ballots have already been printed, they must be reprinted and distributed.
