Michigan HB5449 amends the Michigan Employment Security Act to prohibit certain former officials of the unemployment insurance agency from contracting with specific vendors for two years after their employment ends. Covered officials include the director, deputy director, assistant deputy director, senior procurement official, contract manager, and information technology project manager. They are barred from accepting employment, compensation, consulting fees, gifts, or anything of value from vendors that held contracts with the agency during their tenure.
