Michigan HB5441 amends the Michigan Regulation and Taxation of Marihuana Act to prohibit the issuance of new state operating licenses for certain types of medical marihuana facilities. Specifically, the cannabis regulatory agency is barred from issuing new licenses for state operating licenses, provisioning center licenses, and grower licenses. The bill also includes provisions for the renewal of existing licenses, the submission of applications, and the conduct of background investigations on applicants.
