Michigan HB5415 prohibits the state from providing economic incentives if doing so would violate the corporate welfare prohibition compact act.

Michigan HB5415 amends the 1984 Public Act 270 by adding a section that prohibits the state from financing, supporting, or providing economic development projects, loans, grants, or other assistance to entities if it would violate the corporate welfare prohibition compact act. This provision takes effect starting October 1, 2027, and the amendatory act will not take effect unless Senate Bill No. ____ (request no. S02934'25) or House Bill No. 5413 (request no. H02934'25) of the 103rd Legislature is enacted into law.
