Michigan HB5351 amends immunization rules to consider CDC and other expert recommendations.

Michigan HB5351 amends the Michigan Public Health Code to require the Department of Health and Human Services to consider recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other expert groups when promulgating rules on immunizations. If recommendations from two or more entities conflict, the department must consult with the Michigan advisory committee on immunizations. The bill also mandates the expansion of the immunization registry to include additional information such as lead screening performed on children.
