Michigan HB5344 mandates reporting of vaccination rates for pupils in public schools.
Michigan HB5344 amends the education law to require public schools to report vaccination rates of pupils. Schools must submit an immunization status report by November 1 each year, detailing the percentage of fully and partially immunized pupils and those with waivers. Starting in 2028, schools must also provide a notice to parents about the immunization status of pupils in grades K through 12. The Department of Community Health and Human Services will promulgate rules for implementing these requirements.
