Allows the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget to install geofencing around critical infrastructure and state-owned buildings.

The bill amends the Michigan Aeronautics Act to allow the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget to install devices that detect unmanned aircraft and technology that prevents unauthorized unmanned aircraft from flying over state-owned buildings or critical infrastructure. The department may also coordinate with the state transportation department to include these areas in any statewide geofencing database. This provision is subject to federal law preemption.
