Michigan HB5302 amends the grant program for recovery community organizations to support long-term recovery from substance use disorders. The Department of Health and Human Services will award competitive grants to nonprofit associations and recovery community organizations that meet specific criteria. These organizations must provide recovery support navigation, outreach education, and various recovery activities. Grant recipients must file annual reports detailing how funds are spent and the outcomes of their programs. The grant program will operate until October 1, 2031.
