Michigan HB5241 prohibits state departments and agencies from contracting with individuals or entities engaged in boycotts against energy, mining.

Michigan HB5241 amends state purchasing laws to prohibit state departments and agencies from entering into contracts with individuals or entities unless the contract includes a representation that the person is not currently engaged in, and an agreement that the person will not engage in, the boycott of a person involved in the conventional production of energy or the mining, agriculture, timber, or firearms industries. The prohibition applies to contracts for the construction, alteration, or repair of state buildings or other state property.
