The department must provide prisoners with a medical information release form and an emergency contact form upon admission. The department may share medical information with designated recipients upon request. In a critical medical emergency, the department must notify designated emergency contacts. The department may also allow approved visitors to visit a prisoner in the hospital if necessary.
