This bill amends the duties of the friend of the court in domestic relations matters. It requires the friend of the court to inform parents about the availability of joint custody and the presumption of equal or approximately equal parenting time. The friend of the court must also provide an informational pamphlet explaining court procedures, rights, and responsibilities. The pamphlet must be provided as soon as possible after a complaint or initiating pleading is filed.
