HB5210

Natural resources: fishing; listing of different vessels on a single license; allow. Amends sec. 47331 of 1994 PA 451 (MCL 324.47331).

Chamber Passed·2/24/26

Allows listing of multiple vessels on a single fishing license in Michigan.

This bill amends Michigan's fishing license regulations to allow a single fishing license to list multiple vessels. It also allows for the transfer of a license to a new vessel if the original is lost or sold, with a fee difference paid if the new vessel is larger. Licenses can be transferred to a different vessel at any time with written notification to the department. The bill also permits the transfer of a license to a vessel undergoing repairs and allows for the designation of a new port for a vessel acquired through inheritance or bankruptcy.
