Introduced Text

Modifies redemption agreement fees in Michigan worker's compensation cases.

The bill amends Michigan's worker's compensation law to modify the fee structure for redemption agreements. It specifies that each party to a proposed redemption agreement is liable for a $100 fee, except for multiple defendants where the fee is paid by the carrier covering the most recent date of injury. The collected fees are to be placed in the worker's compensation administrative revolving fund for specific agency costs.
