Michigan HB5138 amends the administration of certain accommodation taxes, reallocating duties and powers among state departments and agencies. The bill transfers powers and duties from the State Board of Tax Administration, Auditor General, and State Tax Commission to the Department of Treasury. It also assigns the Department of Health and Human Services and its designees the responsibility for enforcing, investigating, and collecting support owed to the state.
