This bill modifies the scope of practice for pharmacists in Michigan. It allows pharmacists to order and administer qualified laboratory tests for COVID-19, influenza, and other conditions, and to dispense drugs based on test results. Pharmacists can issue prescriptions for hormonal contraceptives, emergency contraceptives, and auto-injectable epinephrine. The bill also allows pharmacists to dispense drugs for COVID-19 and influenza if certain conditions are met.
