Michigan HB5074 modifies the renewal and tolling of temporary or limited licenses for mental health care professionals.

Michigan HB5074 amends sections of the Public Health Code to modify the renewal and tolling of temporary or limited licenses for mental health care professionals. The bill introduces a 3-year license cycle for limited licenses, which can be renewed for up to three additional terms. It also allows for the tolling of a license cycle for up to one year in cases of hardship. The bill mandates that the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, in consultation with the board, promulgate rules to implement these changes.
