Allows triplexes, quadplexes, 5-plexes, or 6-plexes in certain residential structures in Michigan.

This bill amends the Michigan housing code to allow for triplexes, quadplexes, 5-plexes, or 6-plexes in certain residential structures. It requires the director to convene a meeting with the commission to recommend modifications and limitations to the code. The recommendations must consider water supply, fire department response time, and other factors. The director must adopt or amend rules or codes by January 1, 2027.
