Introduced Text

Allows members of certain limited liability companies to represent them in eviction proceedings.

Amends Michigan's civil procedure law to allow members of limited liability companies to represent them in eviction proceedings if specific conditions are met. This applies to companies with one individual member or two married members who have signed a verified statement authorizing the representation. The law requires the statement to be filed with the court and reviewed by a court employee before any hearing. The burden of proof for qualification lies with the party seeking to proceed under this section.
