Michigan HB5030 amends insurance laws to require insurers to offer deductibles for personal injury protection benefits at reduced premium rates.

Michigan HB5030 amends section 3109 of the Michigan Compiled Laws to require insurers to offer deductibles for personal injury protection benefits at appropriately reduced premium rates. The deductibles must apply only to benefits payable to the policyholder, their spouse, and any relatives living in the same household. For policies covering benefits under section 3107c(1)(d), insurers must offer deductibles in $1,000 increments, up to the average amount.
