Michigan HB5007 modifies the definition of "employment" under the state's unemployment compensation law. The bill specifies that employment includes service performed for remuneration or under any contract of hire, written or oral, express or implied. It also includes service performed by an individual in the employ of a governmental entity, a school district, a community college district, or a school or educational facility owned or operated by the state.
