Michigan HB4956 establishes the Michigan achievement skills scholarship for occupational training programs.

Michigan HB4956 creates the Michigan achievement skills scholarship act. This act provides scholarship assistance to Michigan residents attending qualified occupational training programs. To qualify, applicants must be residents, have graduated from high school in 2023 or later, and be first-time enrollees in the program. The scholarships are subject to appropriation and cannot exceed the full tuition amount. Recipients can use the scholarship for up to two academic years.
