Michigan HB4923 amends the Public Health Code to eliminate the requirement for applicants to pass a jurisprudence examination related to the practice of physical therapy or practice as a physical therapist assistant, occupational therapy, or practice as an occupational therapy assistant. The bill also modifies the fees for optometry and physical therapy licensure, including application processing, examination, and license fees. The board is prohibited from promulgating rules that diminish competition or exceed the minimum level of regulation necessary to protect the public.
