Introduced Text

Michigan HB4845 modifies competitive bidding requirements for certain road construction projects.

Michigan HB4845 amends the competitive bidding requirements for road construction projects. It mandates that all construction projects costing over $100,000 for construction or preservation must be performed by contract awarded through competitive bidding. Exceptions apply if another method is deemed in the public interest. The bill also adjusts the dollar thresholds for certain projects and exempts specific types of projects, such as the installation or upgrading of advanced traffic management systems and traffic signal systems, and the resurfacing of local roads.
