Michigan HB4775 amends food service establishment requirements to enhance food allergy awareness.

Michigan HB4775 amends sections 2129, 6149, and 6152 of 2000 PA 92 to enhance food allergy awareness in food service establishments. It mandates that certified food safety managers complete a food allergen awareness component in their training program. Food establishments must display a food allergy awareness poster until December 31, 2020, and provide a statement on selection information requesting customers to notify the establishment of any food allergies before placing an order. The bill also allows for the development of rules to implement and enforce these requirements.
