This bill amends Michigan law to permit minors to engage in residential building construction under certain conditions. Specifically, minors can work in nonhazardous construction if they are supervised by an adult with a valid 10-hour training certification from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, are at least 21 years old, and have at least two years of relevant work experience. The work must be for a charitable housing organization, performed outside of school hours unless part of a work-related educational program, and comply with all other applicable laws.
