Michigan HB4709 prohibits the construction and operation of wind turbines in the Great Lakes and connecting waters.

Michigan HB4709 amends the state's energy laws to prohibit the construction and operation of wind turbines for commercial electricity production in the Great Lakes and their connecting waters. The bill also prohibits granting renewable energy credits for electricity generated by such wind turbines. The attorney general is authorized to bring an action for injunctive relief for violations of this section.
