Modifies eligibility for guardianship assistance payments for children in Michigan.

This bill amends Michigan's guardianship assistance program to allow prospective guardians who meet specific criteria to receive payments on behalf of eligible children. The child must have lived with the prospective guardian for at least six months before the application is submitted. Eligible guardians include relatives or legal custodians of the child, as well as licensed foster parents approved by the department. The approval process includes criminal record checks and child abuse and neglect registry checks.
