Establishes a cultural history advisory board to recommend curriculum changes for Michigan's K-12 education system.

The bill creates a cultural history advisory board within the Michigan Department of Education. The board will consist of members from various cultural communities, including Asian-American, Latino, Black, Middle Eastern, Indigenous, Caribbean-American, Jewish-American, and European-American. The board will provide recommendations on the K-12 curriculum tool kit and professional development on cultural competency. The superintendent of public instruction will appoint the members, who must demonstrate cultural competency and not exhibit bias.
