Michigan HB4685 amends the insurance law to mandate that insurers providing mental health and substance use disorder benefits in Michigan reimburse for services delivered through the psychiatric collaborative care model. This model includes specific Current Procedural Terminology billing codes. Insurers may deny reimbursement only if the denials comply with the Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008.
