Introduced Text

Establishes a salary cap for school administrators and certain other school employees in Michigan.

This bill amends the Michigan Compiled Laws to set a salary cap for school administrators and certain other school employees. Specifically, it prohibits school districts or intermediate school districts from employing a superintendent, principal, or other school administrator at a salary exceeding the greater of four times the starting salary for a teacher or three times the average salary for a teacher. The cap does not apply to existing contracts unless they are renewed or extended.
