Michigan HB4531 mandates continuing education for personnel in recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect.

Michigan HB4531 amends the state's child protection law to require mandated reporters to complete training every three years on recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect. The bill also mandates the Department of Health and Human Services to ensure a continuing education program for personnel, including those from the department, probate courts, and private agencies. This program will cover responsibilities, obligations, and powers under the act, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of child abuse and neglect.
