Michigan HB4436 amends the Occupational Safety and Health Act to add a new section prohibiting employers from discharging or discriminating against employees who disclose information about occupational safety and health practices or hazards related to communicable diseases. This includes disclosures to the employer, employer's agent, another employee, or a governmental agency. Employers are also prohibited from taking adverse actions against employees who wear personal protective equipment that provides more protection than what the employer provides.
