Chamber Passed·6/26/25

Michigan HB4417 allows the Department of Health to provide opioid antagonists to life support agencies at no cost.

Michigan HB4417 amends the Public Health Code to allow the Department of Health to provide opioid antagonists to life support agencies at no cost. This provision applies when the department distributes an opioid antagonist, at no cost, to a person to assist in reducing opioid-related overdoses. The opioid antagonist must then be provided directly to a life support agency upon request for equipping a life support vehicle with the antagonist.
