Chamber Passed·6/12/25

Allows barbers to provide services to veterans at veteran service organizations.

This bill amends Michigan law to allow licensed barbers to provide services to veterans at veteran service organizations. It permits the issuance of temporary permits for up to one year to allow barbers to serve veterans in these organizations. The bill also clarifies that barbers can provide services outside of a licensed barbershop if it is impractical or unsafe for the patient to travel due to frailty, age, injury, or illness. The amendatory act takes effect 180 days after enactment, contingent on the passage of House Bill No. 4394.
