Michigan HB4384 amends the state's purchasing law to prohibit state agencies from awarding contracts to entities that donate to political candidates or committees. Specifically, the bill bars contracts if the principals of the contract have made donations to candidate committees, state or local party committees, or political committees within 18 months before the contract is signed. The prohibition also applies during the term of the contract and 18 months after its end.
