Michigan HB4348 creates an appropriation act for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025. It allocates $2,000,000 from the Agriculture Equine Industry Development Fund for purses and supplements for standardbred harness horse races at fairs and licensed tracks. If no standardbred race meeting licensee exists by July 1, 2025, up to $2,000,000 may be designated for races at county fairs for 2-year-old and 3-year-old horses. The appropriations are subject to the management and budget act and the horse racing law of 1995.
