Introduced Text

Establishes requirements for employers to obtain a fair paycheck workplace certificate.

The bill establishes the "fair paycheck workplace certificate act" which requires employers to submit an application to obtain a certificate. Employers must include payroll records and other information to demonstrate that they paid employees with different protected attributes or characteristics similarly. The director of the department will issue a certificate if the employer meets the requirements. Employers must renew the certificate annually. The bill also establishes a database of employers with certificates and outlines penalties for violations.
