This bill amends Michigan law to allow the use of purple paint marks on trees or posts around the perimeter of property to designate no trespassing areas. The paint marks must be vertical lines at least 8 inches long, placed between 3 and 5 feet above the ground, and spaced no more than 100 feet apart. This method is in addition to existing options such as posting signs. The bill also includes provisions for exceptions, such as retrieving a hunting dog or engaging in recreational activities on farm property.
