Michigan HB4141 amends the revised school code to require school boards to implement wireless communications device policies. For students in grades K-5, the policy prohibits possession on school grounds. For grades 6-8, it prohibits use during instructional time, breaks, lunch, and recess. For grades 9-12, it prohibits use during instructional time. The boards may implement additional restrictions. The bill repeals the previous section on wireless communications devices.
